Bhutan Climate

Bhutan despite its small size sees varying climatic conditions differing from region to region. Southern Bhutan has tropical weather with hot humid monsoons while central Bhutan observes a semi-tropical weather with very cool winters. Eastern Bhutan is slightly warmer than the west which goes through much harsher climate with snowfalls in winters. The climatic conditions in the north inhabited up to 5,000 meters, is rough to say the least with monsoon rains in the summer and heavy snowfalls in winter.

 

Monsoon in Bhutan starts from mid-June and lasts till mid-September.
