Who are we ?

Pema Cholling literally translates as ‘auspiciously gathered’. Staying true to our name, we started the company by gathering likeminded people; with deep rooted Bhutanese values, a sense of responsibility towards the community and the traditions, and a desire to serve the guests of our country to the fullest of our capabilities.

We believe that we are the ambassadors of the tourism industry in Bhutan entrusted with sharing happiness with the rest of the world. Tourism is the highest foreign revenue generator in Bhutan in which we take pride in being a significant contributing element. We provide travel packages keeping in line with the holistic approach of the tourism industry, which is, balancing economic growth with promotion and preservation of our age old culture and tradition.

All our programs are created is such a way as to service our guests to the fullest; for it is the guests who make it all possible. With our team of experienced staff and a touch of personal insight we put in our heart and soul to showcase and let you experience the true uniqueness and essence of Bhutan.

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”   -Winston Churchill

Being a devout Buddhist and direct descendant of Khandroma (Dakini) Tashi Wangmo, I and my family have set out a goal of rebuilding the Gomdralo Monastery built by the Khandroma in homage to the Drukpa Kagyud Saint Phajo Drugom Zhigpo. The Monastery was built on the cliff, Gom Drak which is one of the 12 major meditation places of Phajo. It is said that while Phajo was meditating in Taktshang (Tiger’s Nest), Guru Rinpoche appeared in his vision and instructed him to meditate in 12 strategic places in Bhutan. This was supposed to help spread Drukpa Kagyud Buddhism in Bhutan.
